38 Weeks

This week was the first and probably last week we entertained friends at our house before Aubrey comes!!! It was a lot of fun. Nothing really exciting happened all weekend, Austin and I had a very lazy weekend and just relaxed with one another, enjoying our time together.

It started to hit me over the weekend that Aubrey will be here SOON! I think I became more prepared and excited to see her more than nervous. I want to just get past the labor part and hold her in my arms and see Austin with her.

Sunday night I felt like she started moving a lot more in her cramped space and it's been like that since. I think I've finally been able to start feeling some contractions, but I'm not always 100% since I'm not sure what to expect. I've never felt them before and it doesn't really help when people tell you what to feel. Sometimes I just think I'm oblivious to them! I just keep on going with whatever I'm doing.

Funny story!!!! Monday night I got up to use the bathroom and when I came back to bed, Austin rolled over and told me, "PUSH!" in his sleep! It was soooo funny!!! He's going to be such a good coach!

I had my weekly Dr. appt. Tuesday afternoon. He checked me and

complimented on my cervix and said it was beautiful! haha He then told me he thought I was dilated and told me I was a 2 and could possibly go into labor this weekend!!!! Of course then he said it could be another week or two. I've heard a lot of my friends say they stayed dilated for a week and nothing happened, so now I have mixed emotions. It made me really think that I could technically go at any time and I really need to get completely ready. What's funny is this whole time I've wanted a 9/9/09 baby, and that's the one day McKernan is off and not delivering! Instead he's on call this entire weekend, which is Labor Day weekend.... how convenient!!! Guess we'll just wait and see when Ms. Aubrey wants to come out!!!

Wednesday I believe was the first day that I really started to feel stuff happening. I think I can feel the contractions, but it felt like other stuff was happening too. I have no words to describe it honestly, I've tried explaining to a few people. It's just strange how the Dr. said I was starting to dilate and the next day I feel a lot going on. I think it's because I was up moving around a lot at work and maybe my body was dilating more. Not too sure, but I'm curious to know if I've dilated more.
