Sunday I put the finishing touches on her room, which was all the stuff on the walls. I love it!!! Now I'll just have to wait to see how functional everything will be once Aubrey arrives! I'm sure I'll have to change things around.
There's definitely been a lot more pressure and achiness in the pelvic area, which makes me know the end is near. She's been wiggling a lot in there lately, too. This last week I've been able to sleep in an extra hour and a half in the morning, which is strange for me since I haven't slept in since before I was pregnant! Makes a difference not getting up early every day for work. Also, since she dropped, I now get up twice in the night to go to the bathroom instead of once.
I had my Dr. appointment this week and I'll start to go every week from now on. I told the Dr. that all this time people have been asking how I've dealt with the heat, I've been fine.... until this past weekend! All of a sudden, 2 minutes outside and I can't take it! Sitting in the waiting room I was hot. Sitting in the little room waiting for the Dr. to come in I was hot. Once McKernan and the nurse came in I was on fire about to break a sweat! They said my hormones really kicked in!!! Way to wait until the end, hormones! Then I made the Dr. and nurse laugh... I told them they need wider paper clothes that you're supposed to use to drape your lower half because I had a hard time trying to cover my crack so it wasn't visible as you walk in the door! I'm sure a lot of women have to have THAT problem with that paper sheet thing!
McKernan checked the heart rate, which I believe he said was 143 and she looked really healthy. He measured my uterus and I think could tell that she did drop. Even before he did a pelvic exam, he said he didn't think I'd make it to the 20th! I didn't really understand what was written down when he checked me for my status, but I don't think I was starting to dilate yet. I really felt like he was digging for gold in there though... I only thought this was pressure from the outside in... I have a lot in store for me in a few weeks when I'll have the pressure of someone from the inside coming out!
