2 Weeks

I can't believe 2 weeks have already gone by! Aubrey grows bigger everyday and I can tell. We went to her 2 week appointment with the Pediatrician and everything looks great! She's healthy. She now weighs 7 lbs 13 ozs and is 19 1/2 inches long! She's definitely eating a lot more. Afterwards, we had to get her second PKU test done, I felt so bad hearing her cry after the lady poked her in the foot. The lady had to really push on her foot to get blood out, it wasn't coming out fast enough to fill the 5 dots and she was on the last dot when Aubrey started to clot. Then she had to poke her other foot just for 1/2 a circle of blood. Poor girl was traumatized and looked like it, after all, she did have two bandages that covered her feet. She took a good nap that afternoon, but she woke up screaming at one point then settled down on her own. I think she had a dream about being poked in the foot.

Austin and I just love watching Aubrey. We could stare at her for hours. She makes such funny faces and the involuntary smiles are priceless. We got some video of her smiling and even farting. No matter what she does, it's cute! She's such a good baby and she's super strong. I think at 10 days old she started trying to lift her head on her own. I find myself staring at her trying to see if I see myself in her. I really can't, but other people say they can see me in her. I just see some of Austin's features, she's such a Daddy's girl!

We had some family come out from St. George and Cedar City to see Aubrey too, Grandma Lori and Uncle Vic and Aunt Sarah!

Aubrey also had her first little play date with Cael, son of Cameron and Kim Davis. He's 2 months old and it was just so fun to have them over and see the two babies together!

Aubrey had her first photo shoot done by Becky Higgins. Becky did an amazing job and the pictures turned out great! We can't wait to print some and put them all over our walls. Aubrey's such a beautiful baby, she's going to be a heartbreaker!
