We thought we found a good deal in the paper on a crib and changing table so we bought it at the store. Then we went to another store and found an amazing deal on a crib, changing table and dresser. So our adventure for the weekend was returning the other one that we bought 20 minutes earlier and purchasing the other one! Then the real workout started that night by putting it together...
We started with putting the crib together, not too bad. Then we decided to put it in the baby room and guess what?!?! It won't fit through the door! We tried every angle possible but it just wouldn't fit. So always know to put the crib together in the room it's going to be in! We did learn how quick it is to assemble! Then we put together the changing table, once again not too bad and it definitely fit through the doorway into the room. The absolute hardest and longest part to put together was the dresser. There was so many little pieces to put together it took forever! But, after all the hard work and time we put into it, Aubrey's room looks amazing. I've washed the bedding and put it on the crib and her room just looks so beautiful! The only thing missing in it is Aubrey!
Tuesday I went to see McKernan and I actually saw him! I'm so glad he's my doctor, he's so nice and comforting. He said Aubrey is good and healthy, her heart rate was 169 and my uterus measured right on. I love how he kept saying how beautiful my skin was because at least for now I still have no stretchmarks! The other good thing McKernan did for me was limit my hours at work since I've been having really bad upper and lower back pain. I'm the kind of person that will just keep going no matter what pain I'm in because I do what I have to do, but I'm so glad that he helped me realize I need to slow down for me and Aubrey. Coming home every night with the pain is not fun and then trying to sleep with the lower back and hip pains doesn't make the night any easier than the day.
At the next Dr. visit in 2 weeks they will start checking me to see if I'm dilating, then I go to weekly appointments! It's crazy knowing the end it coming closer, ahhh!!!
I think I've just had it too easy until now, when I can tell from week to week that she's getting bigger. It's harder for me to get in and out of the car and to roll over from side to side at night. I can tell she's gaining weight! I still have fun times with her inside... she makes me smile and laugh. My long drives to work I put my hand on my belly and feel her move. I always ask her what body part she's sticking out at me because I can never tell. Other times I'll be sitting at my desk or at home on the couch and I just watch her move around my belly. It's just amazing there's a baby inside me and I can't wait to see her in person!
