33 Weeks

Here is a picture of what Aubrey's room currently looks like with nothing in it yet...

We did a great job painting it and Austin did a great job put
ting up the chair rail!
He sacrificed his thumb many times!

Our collection of baby stuff before showers

This week we went to our Dr. appt and I'll now be going every two weeks for a month. We saw the nurse because as soon as I signed in I saw that there were a lot of people waiting to see Dr. McKernan. The nurse could tell from my sample that I drink a lot of water which helps keeps swelling down, decreases pre-term labor with contractions, and high blood pressure which sounds good to me that I can keep all those away! That's all I mostly ever drink is water- yay me! Oh side note... the nurse I saw was Nurse Betty! haha isn't that a movie or something?! Anyways, she measured my uterus which was 32 cm, the exact number of weeks I was! I've been able to tell I've had more pressure in the lower abdomen and that's because Aubrey has moved head down. The nurse could tell what position she was in. She was feeling the lower abdomen and then pulled out the doppler and Aubrey's heart rate was fast, then she slowed down. It was cute to know that she had a reaction to someone from the outside pushing on my uterus!

I asked about doing another 3D ultrasound since her leg was in her face last time, so we waited a few minutes for the technician to get us. Well, go figure.... Aubrey is stubborn and won't let us
get pictures of her in there! She was head down in my uterus facing my spine! I tried rolling on my left side and right side and the tech couldn't get anything. The tech even tried pushing up and down which was hilarious to watch on the screen. Aubrey had no reaction at that time so we couldn't get any pictures : ( The tech said it would be harder to get pictures the farther along I get, so we aren't going to try anymore since she's running out of room in there. I was just super glad that I changed the appt for the ultrasound to 30 weeks rather than 32 weeks like they originally scheduled. Otherwise, we would really have no pictures of her. Oh, when the tech was trying to get a pic of Aubrey, she could tell that she had some hair!!! That made me happy!!! She won't be an alien like I was with no hair!

Like I said earlier, I can tell Aubrey moved positions because of the pressure. Sometimes I'm at work and I get up from my desk and I feel that pressure when I'm walking. I cup my hands around her and I feel like I'm carrying a bowling ball! I read this month she's supposed to gain 1/2 a week!!!

I also went to the chiropractor and got adjusted. I asked if there was anything I could to to lessen the pain in my hips and lower back... switch sides more in the middle of the night while sleeping. That's it. I have to try and be conscious enough to do it, otherwise the pain is starting to get worse the bigger she gets.

Had an actual craving this week too!!! It was exciting! I really wanted a fruit smoothie one afternoon at work, but I pushed through it until I got home and ate dinner and still wanted it. I still didn't fulfill it. The next morning at work... I wanted one. Thank goodness for friends! Kristy went home and made me one, a healthy one not full of sugar like any other place I would have bought one! Thanks Kristy!!!

This week I also had a work baby shower that was given by Kristy and Roni, two of my co-workers and friends. It was a pool party BBQ that was a lot of fun! The pool felt really great since it's so hot outside now. I truly intended to take a lot of pictures and I regret that I didn't take very many. Austin and I had a lot of fun spending time with friends and we're grateful for everyone supporting us!
