What an eventful week this turned out to be....
Started off going to McKernan's office for my normal appointment. I had to do the glucose test this time around. The drink really isn't that bad, you just have to chug it otherwise halfway through you're sick of it and don't want to finish! I got the 8 am appointment and I was shocked when they called my name to go back because I was there not even 3 minutes! McKernan came in the room shortly after and he started an ultrasound on the old machine just to see how she was doing. He said she looked great and really healthy, had a lot of fluid around her which was good. Cutest part was when I got to see her hand up by her face and each individual finger! Such an amazing moment.
Sunday, Austin and I ran a lot of errands trying to get some Christmas shopping done. It was a busy day and when we got home I was trying to do some housework. Needless to say at the end of the night I was really uncomfortable and tried to lay down on my left side. I even tried to take a bath to relax and it just didn't help. THe next day I went to work for just a few hours and I started getting uncomfortable again. I decided that I shouldn't try to ignore it anymore and at least call the Dr. to see what they had to say. THe lady told me I should go in to get monitored and I got off the phone and started to cry. I was really emotional because I don't want anything bad to happen. I know I keep telling myself I should slow down and stop trying to do everything and I guess this was my wakeup call. By the time I finally got hooked up to a monitor, I had been laying there for 30 minutes, That was exactly what was needed apparently, for me to relax and get off my feet. Kadence looked good on the monitor and the tests came back good, so I was discharged. I had to make a follow up appointment with my Dr. though for the following week to check on my progress. I decided that I needed to try and monitor my own activity at work in order to discuss what the plan of action would be next week with my Dr. I'm such a stubborn and busy person there's no way I would be able to be on bed rest, so I', going to try my hardest to avoid that!
